Birthstone Feature of the Month: July’s Ruby

Called the King of Gems by the ancient Hindus, the Ruby has been coveted by mankind for centuries. It has been said that the Ruby's red glow comes from an internal flame that cannot be extinguished making this stone symbolic of everlasting love and ancient lore has it that the Ruby will bring good fortune to its wearer if worn on the left hand. Did you know that a Ruby is called a Sapphire if it is any other color than red? Check out these great Rubies from Vintage Jewelry Sellers on Etsy!

Hebrews believed a dragon carved onto a ruby brings prosperity, health and joy to its owner.

The Temple of the Holy Grail has a great Ruby atop that shines like a beacon at night.

Legends say that the wearer of a ruby is blessed with health, wealth, wisdom and outstanding success in affairs of the heart.
Sounds like great reasons to wear rubies to me!
